The Backstage Manager works the show and helps with daily production issues, assisting the Production Stage Manager by being on headset during the show, assists with rehearsals, oversees and performs all stage moves, including operation of a motorized zip-lift during aerial performances, does simple prop repairs, preshow sets and ensures that all artists have the necessary props during the performance and keeps the backstage and stage area’s clean and in good working condition.

Teatro Zinzanni is looking for a Wardrobe Sub dresser in our new Woodinville location.
Start date is April 27th. running through till the end of February 2020
This is a seasonal part-time union position paid at the rate of $19.25 hr.
A Sub Dresser will be recruited and hired to support our wardrobe. The Wardrobe Substitute & Laundry maintenance person is responsible for all wardrobe related needs for performances, including but not limited to costume maintenance & repairs, laundry, dry-cleaning prep, pre-show preparation, performer dressing assistance, quick changes, make up and wig application & maintenance.
This person will be scheduled to run all Wednesday evening and Sunday matinee shows, as well as Tuesday shows during the holiday season. This role will also handle the daily laundry on Thursday-Sunday, for a total of approximately 15-20 hours/week. The sub dresser will also be scheduled to support Wardrobe during changeover.
The stitcher will work on a variety of costumes for both performers and staff. Stitcher will work under a tight time schedule and help problem solve sewing and costume finishing issues. Strong stitching, machine work as well as hand finishing will be required.
The craftsperson will work on a variety of costume accessories, millinery and embellishments for both performers and staff. The Costume Craftsperson is the theatre artist who creates all accessory or special costume projects as designated by the Costume Designer.
The Costume Shop Manager is responsible for managing the Costume Shop, which includes the areas of costumes, wigs, makeup, wardrobe lead, dressers and maintenance staff. This position is responsible for overseeing all day to day shop activities including personnel, equipment, supplies, inventory, workroom and costume storage areas, independent contractors and providers, and communicates with other cities shops.The Costume Shop Manager works under the Production Stage Manager to establish and maintain expense budgets; works with the costume designer; and hires and supervises costume shop and wardrobe personnel, including makeup and wig contractors. The Costume Shop Manager is also responsible for overseeing waitstaff uniform contractors as well as all costume, wig, and makeup activities at the theater for all rehearsals and performances.
This position is the driving force of the costume shop’s team and requires strong draping and patternmaking/cutting abilities. The Master Cutter/Draper is the primary cutter, draper and patternmaker for the new shows and works with the first hand to supervise and instruct the stitchers. They set workroom standards for construction and serve as a resource to staff in construction methods. A high level of knowledge, independent judgment, creativity, initiative and problem solving skills are necessary. This is a fast paced environment requiring an open, creative and collaborative approach to making period, modern dress and unusual costumes.
Replaces either of the fulltime Backstage Managers when they are not at the show. This person moves props and staging as needed during the show with a live audience situation. They interact with cast, band, audience and PSM. Assists the PSM in all rehearsals, performances, and administrative tasks as assigned.
The Lighting Substitute operates the lighting system for the TZ show on a substitute basis when the Lighting Supervisor is unavailable. This person is responsible for the care and maintenance of the lighting equipment and does repairs as necessary.
The Stage Manager sub provides leadership and oversight for all show operations when the Production Stage Manager is not present. They will call all cues for sound, lights, prop moves and winch operation. They work with the Restaurant Manager on emergency procedures between the show and restaurant. They work collaboratively with production, creative and technical teams in realizing the artistic vision for Teatro ZinZanni through clear documentation and communication. This is a high paced and complicated show.
The Box Office Associate’s primary objective is to sell tickets & merchandise and promote Teatro Zinzanni to the overall public under the supervision of the Box Office Manager and the Audience Services Manager.
The Lighting Supervisor operates the lighting system nightly and works with the LD and PSM to create the best experience possible. The Lighting Supervisor is the Lighting Programmer for the venue, this work being an integral part of the position. This person is responsible for the care and maintenance of all of the lighting equipment. Lighting Supervisor works to maintain the integrity of the Lighting Designer’s work during the run of the evening. This position works with the TD on all maintenance issues and work schedules. The Lighting Supervisor works with the PSM on the development of any lighting related props or special lighting needs for the venue.
The Sound Supervisor is responsible for the nightly sound operation of Teatro ZinZanni’s two and 1⁄2 hour live dining experience. Operator provides sound for band and performers. Sound operator will attend all sound related meetings and provide sound notes to the Production Stage Manager. Must be able to operate a fast moving show with lots of cues comfortably. This position is responsible for all of the sound equipment and band equipment and will make sure it is kept in top shape.
The Technical Director has the responsibility for the technical operations of the tent, including lighting, rigging, and sound, set construction, and coordinating necessary tent maintenance. The position begins during construction of the new venue so oversight of installation is involved.
