Teatro ZinZanni is pleased to announce that our plan to return to the San Francisco Northeastern waterfront is now moving ahead!
From the day we opened in our magical spiegeltent on Pier 27/29 in March of 2000 to our final show on New Year’s Eve 2011, Teatro ZinZanni was acclaimed as one of San Francisco’s cultural jewels, delighting audiences with a new form of entertainment — a swirl of stunning acrobatics, rousing comedy, original music and culinary delights.
Since folding our tent on New Year’s Day 2012, Teatro ZinZanni has been planning to come back to San Francisco. In this, we have enjoyed the unending encouragement of thousands of fans as well as a great deal of help from our alumni, neighbors, partners and local officials. Now, with the help of Kenwood Investments, Teatro ZinZanni is looking forward to reopening the spiegeltent in a new permanent home on Broadway and the Embarcadero (SWL324); to welcoming old friends and making new friends; and to bringing Teatro Zinzanni back to extraordinary life in San Francisco. Our sparkling new location will feature our world-famous antique jewel box spiegeltent, a new four-story boutique hotel and artist residence, and an intimate pocket park to provide sanctuary from the bustle of the busy neighborhood, a vibrant new gateway to North Beach and Chinatown. We look forward to seeing you there!
While we don’t yet have an opening date set, join our e-mail list for the latest news so you can be among the first to get exclusive information about future ticket sales, special events, and to learn more about our efforts to get up and running so Teatro ZinZanni can once again provide Love, Chaos, And Dinner for San Francisco as only we can (We still have to go through the City’s processes so your support now will be very helpful.) In the meantime, make sure you know where your feather boas and fedoras are located – you’ll want them for our grand re-opening!
