Teatro ZinZanni’s original brand of love, chaos, and dinner is making its long-awaited return to Seattle with a limited engagement run of the all-new show, Coming Home. When the world went dark more than two years ago, people everywhere were dispersing and lives turned upside. Today, as we rebuild and focus on our dreams going forward, we find that home is where our hearts reside — and Seattle is our home. Kevin Kent

Performer

A physical and improvisational humorist, Kevin Kent was a cast member of the original Teatro ZinZanni show in Seattle in 1998 and the subsequent debut show in San Francisco in 2000. To continue his streak of ZinZanni firsts, he was part of the first Teatro ZinZanni touring production in Southern California.

Kevin combines his writing, odd notions, and improvisational skills to transport the audience to exciting and wonderful places. Kevin and his partner, Joe, have a brand new company called K. Kent Co. Performance. Their inaugural production, Eulogy, a memorial for a loved one, is created new each night from family photos supplied by the audience.

K.Kent Co. is developing their second production with Imogen Love. The show, Dear John, is a meditation on the eccentric shoe designer, John Fluevog, and a woman who loves him.

Elena Gatilova

Aerialist

Former World Champion of rhythmic gymnastics, Elena Gatilova also known as Lucky Moon, highlighted over 2500 shows in five years in the provocative Cirque du Soleil's "Zumanity".

She appeared in "Playboy" and "Vanity Fair" magazines and performed in various TV shows such as "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno, "Last Call" with Carson Daly, "Chiambretti Night" for 43 episodes and in the Sony Pictures movie "LoveSick".

Elena has also worked with world renowned celebrity artists such as Cher, french designer Thierry Mugler, fashion photographer David LaChapelle, creative director/choreographer Luca Tommassini and choreographer Bill Goodson.

Vita Radionova

Performer

Enchanting, mesmerizing and sensuous, Vita Radionova defies the laws of physics with her contortion and hula hoop performances around the world. After graduating from the legendary Circus School of Kiev in 1999, Vita has since performed her elegant and sensual act at some of the finest venues in Europe, including Germany’s Apollo Varieté, GOP Varieté, and Palazzo as well as Circus Salto Natale.

In 2015, Vita was a featured contestant on America’s Got Talent Season 10 and made it to the quarter finals. Adding in some Las Vegas magic, Vita worked as assistant magician to David Goldrake at Imaginarium playing at the Tropicana. After performing as featured artist in the 2003 Tiger Lilies circus tour throughout Europe, Ukrainian born Vita Radionova made her North American debut at Teatro ZinZanni in 2004.

Rizo

Singer

“An anarchist streak still runs through me,” says Rizo, the singer-sophisticate who was once a teenage punk rocker. “I love the idea of claiming something that’s uncool and making it authentic.” To that end, the NYC-based artist has earned a name for herself by transforming nightclub-pop into experiences that are more soulful, more theatrical. A provocateur with an electric wit, Rizo is a vessel for the spirits of Edith Piaf and Freddie Mercury.

The New York Times once referred to Rizo (né Amelia Zirin-Brown) as “a formidable belter who can sustain phrases and notes even when sprawled on her back on a piano and scissoring her legs.” They’re not alone in that enthusiasm. Rizo — who released Indigo, her second album, in 2017 — has collaborated with Moby, Reggie Watts, and Yo-Yo Ma, the latter on his Songs of Joy & Peace album, which won a Grammy Award.

She’s received a New York Foundation for the Arts fellowship, a Time Out London theater award, and a 2013 London Cabaret Award. She also co-composed music for Adam Rapp’s Los Angeles, as well as theme songs for the Fuse network and E! Entertainment. All of which is to say: Our Lady of Perpetual Creativity is, by design, many things to many people.

Taking a cue from Piaf, Rizo fully embraces the role of chanteuse. In recordings, she is a mysterious figure, a siren ushering you through tableaus of heartbreak, lust, and the murkiness in between. Live, she is an eyeful. “Freddie Mercury embodied songs with his voice and body,” she says, admiringly. Like the Queen singer, she too can make even the simplest sentiment feel voluminous.

Rizo just finished a 6 month role as Madame ZinZanni in Teatro ZinZanni’s Love, Chaos & Dinner in Chicago.

Domotil

Chinese Pole

French artist Domitil Aillot trained at the internationally renowned Annie Fratellini Circus School in Paris. There he became one third of the critically acclaimed acrobatic trio Les Petits Freres who performed at some of the best venues in Europe including Cirque d’hiver Bouglione in Paris, Apollo Variete in Düsseldorf, Tigerpalast in Frankfurt, and Wintergarten in Berlin.

Called the ”Floating Act” by the European press because of their unique ability to defy gravity, the trio came to the United States 14 years ago to perform with Teatro ZinZanni in three cities, contributing to dozens of shows in Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

The trio celebrated their last performance together in Seattle in June 2014 and Domitil continues his performance work as a solo artist working on the Chinese Pole under the tutelage of Mr. Lu Yi, master teacher and Artistic Director of the San Francisco Circus Center. Over the past year, Domitil has been performing in Europe at the Tigerpalast and is excited to be back this winter at ZinZanni.

Manuela Horn

Yodeling Dominatrix

Manuela Horn, also known as the Austrian Amazon, is a yodeling, dancing, acting comedic force of nature. After small roles in independent movies and her own German children’s TV show, she turned her 6’ 2” height into an asset as a host for corporate events and galas across the globe.

Imported from Berlin’s Pomp Duck & Circumstance in 2001, Teatro ZinZanni has given her the performing home she always wanted. This is her 18th year with ZinZanni. In 2009, one of her characters, the yodeling dominatrix, made it to the semifinals of the TV show America’s Got Talent. With an appearance in the movie Rent, Manuela earned her SAG membership.

Manuela regularly performs in numerous cities in Europe with other dinner cirque company’s like Palazzo, Da Capo and Teatro. Since 2010, Manuela has become “The Queen of Oktoberfest” by performing Yodel versions of popular songs. With the motto “It’s always Oktoberfest Somewhere” Manuela headlines the biggest Oktoberfest’s across America.

Duo Madrona

Trapeze

Ben Wendel and Rachel Nehmer met as biology students at Haverford College. After a successful stint as lab partners, the couple decided to test out their chemistry on a trapeze suspended from a madrone tree. Duo Madrona created their duet at Seattle’s School of Acrobatics and New Circus Arts (SANCA), and made their debut at the 2006 Moisture Festival.

In the years following they have logged thousands of performances across the US and Europe, including the 29th Festival du Cirque de Demain, Circus Flora, Tigerpalast Variete, Palazzo, Circus Monti, Circus Syzygy, Flynn Creek Circus and an appearance on French television with Patrick Sebastien’s “Le Plus Grand Cabaret du Monde”. Ben and Rachel have been exploring the rich theatrical universe of Teatro ZinZanni since 2009.

From monster to mayor, from scientist to chorus girl, to falling down the rabbit hole and ending up in the same Alice dress, the duo has brought to life a wide variety of memorable characters. In real life, Ben and Rachel are based in Seattle and are proud parents of two kids, Dylan and June.

Michael Evolution

Basketball Freestyle Juggler

Michael van Beek also known as Michael Evolution is a world-class basketball freestyle juggler that amazed millions of people in his career so far. With 2 decades of live stage experience, Michael has earned his marks in the performing art industry! He became the 1st basketball freestyle juggler that brought excitement into the world of theatre, variety & circus with his artistic creativity and captivating skillset.

His successful career has brought his performances to prominent entertainment companies such as Cirque du Soleil, GOP Variety, UniverSoul Circus, URBANATIX, Wintergarten Berlin...and many more! Michael also was the body double/ choreographer for the legendary NBA athlete Kobe Bryant in the advertising commercial of Turkish Airline, became a finalist at "Beat The Best Dutch" television show, delivered the perfect performance in words said by Dieter Bohlen on German television at Das Supertalent and won the "Varieté Et Cetera" award at Krystallpalast’s Newcomershow Festival.

Hans Teuber

Composer, Music Director

Hans Teuber has been a top call saxophonist woodwind doubler composer, arranger and keyboardist in the pacific northwest for over 30 years. In 2021 he was inducted into the Earshot Jazz hall of fame. Hans has recorded with many artists and toured extensively. Traveling North America, Europe Japan and Brazil, he has performed with such jazz luminaries as George Cables, Julian Priester, Bill Frisell, Chano Domingues, Michael White and Wayne Horvitz
He toured and recorded with folk singer Ani DiFranco
and recorded with notable Seattle rock bands Brad and Mudhoney.

Hans also has been actively involved in the cirque world spending 18 years with Teatro Zinzanni and currently working with Montreal’s comedy duo “Monseigneures Tim et Joe”

Anna Nordmoe

Violinist

Anna Nordmoe is a NYC-based violinist who has most recently appeared in Hadestown on Broadway and the National Tour as the violin substitute. She is a multi-faceted musician, having performed with the Who, the Eagles, Michael Buble, Andrea Bocelli, Il Divo, Mannheim Steamroller, Jens Lekman, Michael Card, Rachel Barton Pine, Alon Goldstein, and many others. She soloed with Midori at age 14 and performed 2 sold-out concerts in Carnegie Hall as a part of the highly-competitive New York String Orchestra.

Anna is a proud Kalamazoo, Michigan native. She just completed her Master of Music at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and received her Bachelor of Music at the University of Michigan.

Anna has trained aerial acrobatics for the past 4 years and has worked primarily at the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts, Seattle's School of Acrobatics and New Circus Arts, and Aerial Arts NYC.
