Giulia Piolanti was born in Italy in the small city of Forli. She started rhythmic gymnastic training at the age of 5. After her agonistic career as a gymnast she attended a dance academy in Milan for 2 years. At the age of 20 she was already working for some of the biggest dance acrobatic companies in Italy. That year was also the beginning of her career as a model for fine art photography. In 2007, she left Italy to pursue a cirque career full-time and began traveling the world. Over the past 10 years, Giulia has been performing with Cirque du Soleil. Giulia’s main focus has been in aerial arts, specifically focused on acts built around the tissue and straps. Guilia also competed in the World Pole Dance Championship in Tokyo in 2010 where she finished in 2nd Place.
